Raw Crystals & Crystal Pendants: A Buying Guide

Compare raw crystal parcels and crystal pendant necklaces by material, size and everyday use. This guide explains what to expect before choosing your piece.

Raw stones or a pendant necklace?

Choose raw stones and crystals if you want loose pieces for a display dish, desk, shelf or mineral collection. Choose a crystal pendant necklace if you prefer a small piece you can wear. Check the individual listing for the stone material, approximate dimensions and included necklace details.

What does raw or rough mean?

In our listings, raw or rough describes an unpolished finish. Hand-chipped pieces have irregular outlines and mineral textures rather than a smooth, tumbled surface. The finish does not mean every decorative material is naturally formed: Red Smelt decorative chunks are smelted material. Read each product's material description when choosing.

How much is a 200g parcel?

200g is approximately 7.1 oz in total stone weight. Our loose-stone parcels are sold by weight, not by a fixed number of pieces. Most listings describe pieces around 2–3 cm; Orange Salt pieces are listed at around 2–5 cm. Sizes are approximate, and the number of stones varies from parcel to parcel.

What should I check when choosing a pendant?

Our amethyst, blue fluorite and clear quartz pendant listings describe stones approximately 15 mm high by 8 mm wide and around 2g. These measurements are approximate. Review the included necklace and fastening details on the product page, along with photos showing how the pendant is worn. Close-up photos can make small stones appear larger.

Will my piece look exactly like the photo?

Natural stones vary in shape, color intensity, inclusions and surface texture. Photos illustrate the product style; parcels and pendants can differ from the examples shown. Review the material, measurements and finish in the listing to understand what you will receive.

Simple everyday care

Handle rough edges gently and keep small pieces away from young children and pets. Use a soft, dry cloth for light surface dust. Avoid soaking mixed mineral parcels or necklaces, since stones, cords and decorative components can need different care. Remove a pendant before bathing or swimming and store it separately to reduce knocks and tangling.

Choosing a piece with personal meaning

Some shoppers enjoy choosing stones by symbolic meaning as well as appearance. These meanings are personal traditions rather than promises about health or outcomes. Explore Calm & Reflection, Love & Warmth or Courage & New Beginnings.
